Another seven persons arrested over 9 May unrest

Another seven individuals have been taken into custody for attacking and damaging the residences of five Members of Parliament during the 9 May unrest.

Sri Lanka Police said four individuals were arrested in Kegalle for damaging the residence and the office of MP Tharaka Balasuriya.

Furthermore, an individual has been arrested for attacking and damaging the residence and the office of MP Arundika Fernando in Dankotuwa while another has been arrested for damaging the residence of MP Vidura Wickramanayake in Horana.

Meanwhile, another individual has been apprehended for attacking the residences of MPs Rohitha Abeygunawardena and Johnston Fernando in Ratmalana.
