A special adjournment debate, on the increase in electricity bills, is scheduled to be held today (29).
According to the proposal brought by the Opposition, the adjournment debate will be held today from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on the ‘difficulties faced by the public as a result of the large increase in electricity consumption’.
As a result, the Parliament is scheduled to meet at 1:00 PM on 30 August, and after the President addresses the Parliament from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the Parliament will be adjourned until the following day.
The debate on the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill second reading will also take place on 31 August and 1 September from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., with no lunch break.
