Rizly Ilyas was unanimously re-elected President for 2 more years at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) which took place at the National Olympic House in Colombo last weekend.
A notable inclusion to the list of office bearers is the return of former Sri Lanka Air Force ‘Iron Man’ Nalin de Silva, who is making a comeback after several years. The former crack No.8 who represented the national team for well over 15 years, comes in as the Deputy President. Earlier he served SLRFU as its Secretary.
Former Isipathana, Police place-kicking sensation and international referee Nizam Jamaldeen was elected Secretary replacing Jude Pillai, while H.A.U.D. Hettiarachchi was elected Vice President.
