Joes outclass Wesley to end as League runner-up


A stellar performance by St Joseph’s earned them a bonus 26 points to 11 victory against Wesley College last evening at Havelock Park to end the Dialog Schools Rugby League 2022 on a high note by emerging as runner-up.

 The boys from Darly Road bagged 4 tries, 3 conversions, while losers could collect only 1 try, 2 penalties. At the short whistle Wesley led 11/7.

Winners scored their tries through prop forward Jehan Athukorala, number eight Naveen Marasinghe, hooker Chamod and flanker
W. Sachinthana, while all conversions were put over by Dilhara Subash.

Wesley’s two penalties were put over by fly half Shavin and their try was scored by flanker Chamod.

Referee Raveen Alexander
