Activist Dhaniz Ali, who was arrested for forcibly entering the Rupavahini Corporation and disrupting the broadcast, has been granted bail.
He was produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Nandana Amarasinghe today (15).
Ali was released on a personal bail of Rs. 500,000 and a cash bail worth Rs. 25,000.
The chief magistrate ruled that the submissions presented against the accused were inadequate for him to be remanded further under the Offences against Public Property Act.
After being released on bail, Ali has been ordered to record a statement with the Cinnamon Garden Police.
