Young golfing talent in the country, Haroon Aslam (Gold-Boys), Kaya Daluwatte (Gold-Girls), Reshan Algama (Silver), Thejas Rathis Kanth (Bronze) and Yuwan Rathis Kanth (Copper) won their respective segments at the P&S Sri Lanka Junior Open Golf Championship for the Rukmini Kodagoda Trophy which concluded at the Royal Colombo Golf Club on Friday.
Both Haroon Aslam and Kaya Daluwatte showed lot of promise in the three days of golf to enter the final of the tournament. While Haroon Aslam beat K. Danushan, Kaya Daluwatte got the better of Sherin Balasuriya.
Meanwhile, another sensational golfer who is just 14-years-old from Colombo International School, Reshan Algama, accounted for the Silver, when he beat Jacob Norton.
Both Reshan Algama and Haroon Aslam will represent the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) at the Burdette Trophy one day event.
In the Bronze Division, Thejas Rathis Kanth beat Saqeeb Zuhar, and in the Copper Division Yuwan Rathis Kanth beat Danik Daluwatte.
