Unbeaten Isipathana moved a step closer to regain the Schools’ League title when they beat St Joseph’s by 16 points (1 try, 1 conversion, 3 penalties) to 13 (1 try, 1 conversion, 2 penalties) at Havelock Park yesterday (7).
At the short breather winners led 7/0.
Both teams made number of handling errors and the game did not witness a good level of running rugby due to this. Isipathana missed at least three scoring opportunities in the first half. Joes too had their chances of scoring but nerves probably let them down.
Royal and Isipathana will now clash in the final to decide the League Champs, while Joe’s and Wesley will play for pride.
