A 28-year-old individual was arrested last morning (02), for being in possession of two canisters of tear gas.
The individual, identified as a resident of Obeysekerapura, Rajagiriya, is believed to have stolen the canisters during a protest that was held on 13 July, at Polduwa Junction.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate’s Court today (03), while further investigations are being conducted by the Welikada Police.
