Singapore extends Gotabaya’s stay


The Singapore Government has issued a new visa to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, extending his stay in the country by another 14 days till 11 August, foreign media reported yesterday (27).

Accordingly, Rajapaksa’s short-term visit pass, which was issued when he arrived in Singapore on a private visit two weeks ago, has been extended.

On 14 July, Rajapaksa was issued a 14-day visit pass when he arrived at Changi Airport on a Saudia flight from the Maldives.
