Four million subscriptions so far


Approximately four million users have registered for the National Fuel Pass as at 9:00 p.m. on 26 July, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said yesterday (27). 

A total of 590,788 cars, 205,495 vans, 697 quadricycles, 723,022 three-wheelers, 172,705 lorries, 9,321 special purpose vehicles, 27,337 buses, 2,364,434 bikes, and 3,228 land vehicles have been registered for the National Fuel Pass.

Meanwhile, the Minister also said 299 Ceylon Petroleum Corporation fuel stations and 34 Lanka IOC fuel stations have fully adopted or tested the QR system yesterday to complete 92,845 transactions.

Thus, 87,652 transactions took place at 299 CPC filling stations and 5,193 transactions were recorded at 34 LIOC filling stations.
