Despite measures being taken to supply fuel via the ‘National Fuel Pass’ introduced by the Ministry of Power and Energy, scores of vehicle owners were unable to obtain fuel in the Anuradhapura District.
This unforeseen event happened on 25 July. Several consumers said they were unable to register for the National Fuel Pass to obtain fuel from the closest filling station in the District.
They urged the Ministry concerned to get their act together and resolve technical issues of the digital platform.
