The Ministry of Energy says the National Fuel Pass initiative via the QR code system will not be implemented islandwide today (25) as planned.
The Ministry claimed there are changes to be made to the software, and until then, it will continue as a pilot project at a few filling stations.
It will take a few more days to roll out the system across the country.
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera previously said that the National Fuel Pass QR code system was successfully tested at 20 locations island-wide for 4,708 vehicles and will be implemented from today.
