In-person learning limited to three days


The Ministry of Education has decided to hold school academic activities physically three days a week, according to the normal timetable, and online on the other two days.

The Ministry issued a Circular regarding the continuation of the learning and teaching process in schools, which will begin on 25 July, daily school attendance, school events, and other extracurricular activities.

According to the circular, after commencement schools will be held at regular intervals on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with online teaching on Wednesdays and Fridays.

To cover all subjects during the three school days, a special schedule will be prepared.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Education Circular, the first term of 2022 will be extended until 7 August, and the dates of the second and third terms will be announced later.

The Circular also said to make the best use of the available time in schools for learning and teaching, the revised syllabus will be provided to affect the necessary learning for grades one to eleven.

The Circular also said those special timetables should be prepared to fit all subjects into the three days.

Students must, however, wear school uniforms to school, and students should not be discouraged from attending school because of the difficulties in obtaining proper uniforms.

The Circular also said as students may be experiencing severe mental and physical distress as a result of existing economic and social problems, it is critical to educate all staff on how to minimise these conditions and create a positive school environment.
