Priority fuel for healthcare workers resumes


Provision of fuel for healthcare sector employees on priority basis will resume today (15) at 109 filling stations islandwide.

The Health Ministry stressed on the importance of facilitating fuel provisions for healthcare workers today considering the prevailing situation in the country.

In a letter to the Secretaries of the Ministry of Public Administration, Defence and Power and Energy, Health Secretary, S. Janaka Sri Chandraguptha said yesterday (14) that exclusive fuel arrangements for healthcare workers had been rescheduled for today. Refuelling limits per individual and the list of 109 fuel stations were also published.

Accordingly, a motor vehicle is to receive 20 litres, while three wheelers and motorbikes will receive eight and six litres each, he noted.
