Ace Capital CC has sprung a surprise among the more recognized teams to take the lead of group ‘A’, while Army CC  lead the points table of group ‘B’ after the 8th day of the SLC Major Club 50 over Cricket Tournament on wednesday.

Ace Capital CC with 7 wins have 19 points from 8 matches, while Moors SC with 6 wins have 18 points from 8 matches. Defending champion Tamil Union C & AC with 6 wins from 8 matches (18 points) is placed third in group ‘A’.  

Army CC have 21 points from 7 wins and a loss in 8 matches in group ‘B’, while CCC with 20 points from 7 wins in 8 matches is second. Chilaw Marians CC with 6 wins from 8 matches (15 points) is placed third in group ‘B’.
