A host of Sri Lanka and India stars have been big movers on the latest MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings following the completion of their three-match one-day series in Pallekele.
While India registered a 3-0 series sweep during the dominant 50-over series, it was Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu who made the biggest impression on the top 10 list for batters.
Athapaththu scored a quickfire 44 in the final match of the series last week and that saw the talented 32-year-old rise two spots to eight on the rankings update that was released by the ICC on Tuesday(12).
Sri Lanka team-mate Nilakshi de Silva hit an unbeaten 48 in the same match and was rewarded with a jump of 10 spots to 47th on the rankings for batters, while India captain Harmanpreet Kaur moved up one place to 13th following her superb 75. India duo Shafali Verma (jumps three places to 33rd) and Pooja Vastrakar (up eight spots to 53rd) also saw their rankings boosted, while South Africa batter Chloe Tryon was the big mover following the Proteas match against England in Northampton.
