Sadeera shines with 91

Sri Lanka Cricket XI finished day two trailing Pakistan by just 45 runs. In reply to Pakistan’s 323, they were 278 for 5 in reply in the warm up three-day encounter at Colts yesterday.

Off spinner Lakshitha Manasinghe claimed 4 wickets for 85 to bowl out Pakistan for 323, while Sadeera Samarawickrama top scored with 91 in Sri Lanka’s 278 for 5. Samarawickrama and Nishan Madushka (39 not out) added 158 runs for the opening stand which came in 35.5 overs. Samarawickrama was the star of the partnership adding 91 off 99 deliveries with 13 fours.

Nuwanidu Fernando at No.3 then made 78 off 177 guiding the SL innings thereafter. Chamika Karunarathne (14*) and Madushka were unbeaten at close of play.
