Several LP Gas shipments expected to arrive over the coming days


A shipment carrying 3,700 metric tonnes (MT) of Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gas is expected to arrive today (10), the Presidential Secertariat announced.

The consignment is due to arrive at 03:00 pm today, after which President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has ordered officials to expedite the distribution of LP Gas.

Meanwhile, consignments of 3,740 MT and 3,200 MT of LP Gas are due to arrive tomorrow (11) and on 15 July, respectively.

Chairman of LITRO Gas Lanka Muditha Peiris further assured that the ongoing LP Gas distribution crisis will progress by 12 July, and operations will resume to normal by the end of this month.
