A large number of Government Ministers and MPs have already deactivated their private mobile phone connections, Ceylon Today reliably learns.
According to highly placed sources in Parliament, these Ministers and MPs have also changed the telephone numbers that they had given to Parliament’s Communications Unit.
The sources added that this situation has emerged in the wake of the emergence of anti-Government protests islandwide. They stated that these actions by Government MPs had hindered the work of the Communications Unit.
Even the official addresses and telephone numbers of Government MPs have been removed from the Parliament’s official website recently.
