President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has assured the supply of several essential items in the coming days.
Issuing a statement in this regard, the President’s Media Unit noted that stocks of gas, fuel and other essential items will arrive in Sri Lanka by Tuesday (12), while stocks of essential medicines have already arrived in the country.
Further, 65,000 metric tonnes (MT) of fertilizer are expected to arrive under an Indian Line of Credit, of which 45,000 MT is due to arrive tomorrow (09).
Rajapaksa requested that public be aware of the actual situation of the country, as opposed to falling prey to false propaganda, and act accordingly.
This statement comes hours ahead of the mass demonstrations scheduled to take place tomorrow (09) against the Rajapaksa regime.
