Distribution of Litro Gas will resume in Colombo on 11 and 12 July in 140 locations and the Government expects to provide an uninterrupted gas supply in the next four months, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe informed Parliament yesterday (6).
He said that an LP gas shipment would arrive in the country on Saturday (9) and distribution is expected to commence next Monday.
The PM made this remark in response to a question raised by MP Lalith Warnakumara.
“It is expected to distribute 140,000 gas cylinders of 12.5 kg at 140 locations with 100 cylinders each on 11 and 12 July in Colombo. After that 25,000 cylinders will be distributed daily. Gas will be supplied to bakeries and small scale enterprises in parallel with this as well,” he said.
Furthermore, 112,000 gas cylinders will be distributed Islandwide from 11 or 12 July.
