Fuel crisis claims yet another life


The driver of a three-wheeler died earlier this morning (06) while waiting in line for fuel at a fuel shed in Payagala.

The deceased, identified as a 60-year-old resident of Rawatawatte, Moratuwa, had been in line for three days at a Lanka-Indian Oil Company (LIOC) fuel shed in Payagala, when he had suddenly fallen ill at around 01:30 am today.

He had later passed upon admission to the Kalutara General Hospital, Police said.
