Fuel queue death toll rises to 14


A 60-year-old man waiting in a fuel queue at a Lanka IOC filling station in Borella was found dead in his car yesterday (5).

This is the 14th fuel queue fatality in the country.

Another person who was waiting next to him at the fuel queue said the deceased had joined the fuel queue in the morning and had passed away after nearly two hours of waiting.

The deceased was identified as M.D.S.D. Gunaratne from Angoda, Gothatuwa.
