St Joseph’s continued their winning streak when they edged S. Thomas’ 30/28 in a key Dialog Schools Under-20 Rugby League encounter at Havelock Park last week-end.

Joes collected their points from 4 tries, 2 conversions and 2 penalties, while Thomians scored through 3 tries, 2 conversions and 3 penalties.

Joes scored their tries through Naveen Marasinghe (3) and Jehan Athukorala. The conversions and penalty kicks were taken by Dilhara Subash.

Thomian tries were scored by skipper Chariya Kurukulasuriya, Yehan Bulathsinghalage and Jaden Koch, with Yehan converting the tries and putting over the penalties.

Joes took safe custody of the Lady Jayathilake Shield after a lapse of 2 year.

Royal ran riot at Reid Avenue when they outclassed Kingswood 53/0 at the Royal Sports Complex last weekend. Winners collected their points through 8 tries, 5 conversions and a penalty.

Pasindu Heshan (2), Hasnaka Higgodage (2), Naveen Perera, Shenal Adhikaram, Rahil Wijesekara and Supun Gamlathge scored for Royal. Nabeel Yahiya was successful in converting 5 of them and adding a solitary penalty.
