Trinity pulled off a thrilling 25 points (3 tries, 2 conversions, 2 penalties) to 18 points (2 tries, 1 conversion, 2 penalties) win over St. Anthony’s in their Dialog Schools Under-20 Rugby league encounter at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium on Friday.
At the short breather Antonians led 11/10.
The game was full of handling errors by both Kandy teams. Antonians looked a yard faster in the initial half, but with the possession they had, could not convert it to more points to have a healthy first half lead.
Meanwhile, Trinity was average in the first half, but started attacking through their speedy three quarters in the latter half and edged their opponents out in a closely contested encounter.
Antonians scored through Omitha Dissanayake and Sadula Athukorale. Conversion and penalties were taken by Sahan Keerthisiri.
Trinity scored through Sheveen Premarathne and Anuhas Kodituwakku. Kovida Dissanayake did the try conversion and put over two penalties. Aattab Manzil put over the last try conversion.

Second half rally take Isipathana home
Isipathana pulled off a hard fought 10 points (1 try, 1 conversion, 1 penalty) to Nil win over Wesley in their Dialog Schools Rugby League 2022 encounter at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Friday.
At the short breather scores were dead locked at nil all.
Isipathana’s try was scored by Seneth Dinusara with the conversion and penalty put over by C.R.T. Silva. With this win Isipathana continued their unbeaten run – two wins from two games.
