A woman, together with her two children, had jumped in the ‘Chandrika Wewa’ in Embilipitiya earlier today (01), in a suicide attempt.
While the woman, identified as a 32-yar-old resident of Suriyawewa, was rescued along with her 11-year-old son, her five-year-old daughter was reported dead.
Both the mother and son were later hospitalised at the District General Hospital, Embilipitiya.
