Only urgent matters to be heard

Only urgent matters will be taken up in open court until 1 July owing to the fuel crisis, Registrar of the Supreme Court announced.

Further, a motion should be filed if any urgent matter which has already been scheduled requires to be taken up before the open court and the motion has to be filed before the scheduled day, while motions that are filed electronically should be done so two days prior to the scheduled day.

The application will be considered by the presiding Judge or a Judge nominated by the Chief Justice and a decision in that regard will be made.

The Registrar also informed that the functioning of the Registry will be restricted due to the prevailing crisis.
