Kaveesha to reduce the gap (5-3). Hosts then bounced back to increase their lead with a penalty put over by full back Nimsara (8-3). The Science fly half was right on target with another 20 metre penalty to reduce the gap (8-6). Isipathana hooker Wenura Kodagoda touched down just before the short whistle to give Isipathana the lead 13-6.

In the second half both sides continued to make errors and failed to put the finishing touches. Isipathana bagged another try though scrum halve Dinusara de Costa, while visitors responded with a penalty through second half replacement D. Perera to make the final score (18-9).
