On 22 May, the second magazine, created by the students of Amuthu Iskole was launched at the One Galle Face mall. The goal of this remarkable event was to help the students of Asgiriya Junior Mixed School. This school was in need of sports equipment and other things vital for the education of  their students.

The brilliant vocalist and percussionist Piyal Perera from Gypsies and renowned cricket fan Percy Abeyasekara were our amazing chief guests. The students of Asgiriya Junior Mixed School and their dear teachers were also present at this vibrant event. The event commenced with an amazing performance by six talented young singers, followed by a welcome speech. Percy Abyesekara who was warmly welcomed by the students of Amuthu Iskole gave a motivational speech to all present.

Piyal Perera sang a captivating song that thrilled us all. Then, we had the chance to eat some delectable ice creams and sweets thanks to Froyo and Candy Crush. We also played various games from AVRs to bumper cars. Some breathtaking magic was performed by the artist Thilina Milander with the help of Bunti the puppet. Thereafter Savidula Rathnayake launched her first book Mary Smith and the Magical Toy Dragon.

Treasured Memories by Sayumi Wijesooriya, and William Red by our honourable teacher Ramith Dheerasekara, along with Savidula Rathnayake’s book was available for purchase at the event. This spectacular event came to a close with the Vote of Thanks.
