Fuel consignment delayed by a day – Wijesekera


The fuel consignment carrying 40,000 metric tonnes of Octane 92 Petrol, scheduled to arrive today (23), has been delayed by one day.

Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera noted that owing to the delay, only a limited amount of petrol will be distributed today and tomorrow (24).

Wijesekera further stated that Super Diesel too, will be distributed sparingly. Auto Diesel, however, willl be distributed at full capacity islandwide.
