Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe hints at another possible hike in fuel prices.
Speaking in Parliament today (22), the Premier said the increase in fuel prices in view of the Russian-Ukrainian war also affects other countries.
Wickremesinghe added that Rs. 200 billion will be allocated from the new budget.
He said that discussions are underway to utilize the money received from the World Bank to purchase domestic gas required for two months.
Meanwhile, three top Indian officials will arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow to discuss the country’s economic crisis and future aide.
