ComBank donates Autoclaves to Pt. Pedro Base Hospital


Responding to a request by the Point Pedro Base Hospital, the Commercial Bank of Ceylon (ComBank) recently donated two Autoclaves; machines that use water, pressure and heat to create superheated steam to kill microorganisms and spores. Thesemachineswill be used for infection control at the hospital’s operating theatre. The ‘Type A’, Point Pedro Base Hospital,serves about 150,000 people in the Vadamarachchi region of Jaffna.
