The SLMMF has been rendering an unmatched service to local print and electronic Media personnel as well as foreign Media since its inception 25 years ago.

Speaking at the event, veteran journalist Farook said Media personnel shouldn’t be afraid to uncover the truth. “They should not fabricate stories,” he added.

“I compiled the issues of Aluthgama, Ampara, Pottuvil, and Digana Muslims and published an English book with 1,000 pages. I risked my life during every regime to reveal the truth,” Farook further said.
