Police have arrested a suspect from Wattala for the possession of five illegal firearms manufactured overseas.
He has been identified as a 59 year old resident of Mabola, Wattala.
During investigation, Police had found two double barrel shotguns manufactured overseas, a single barrel shotgun and two point 22 rifles at the scene.
The suspect will be produced before the Welisara Magistrate’s Court today (19).
