Community kitchen feeds 1,700 in Grandpass

Sarvodaya and Singularity Sri Lanka hosted another community kitchen on Tuesday (14) at St. Joseph’s Church, Grandpass.

The programme aims to help low income communities facing food shortages amid the economic crisis.

Around 1,700 people from the area were provided dinner with the help of local residents and social activists from 6.30 p.m. Dry food was also provided.

Singularity Sri Lanka representatives said they hope to host more community kitchens with Sarvodaya to help those with low income in the Colombo District and around the island.
