Fisheries Corp launches programme

On instructions from Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda, the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation (CFC) has launched a programme to supply fresh fish to customers at a reasonable price.

Customers can purchase a budget pack consisting of ten fish varieties including shrimp, yellow tuna, and salaya at Rs 1,350.

Devananda said with the economic crisis in the country, the CFC has taken steps to supply quality fresh fish to consumers at the lowest possible price, taking the living conditions of ordinary citizens into consideration.

The fish will be sold as budget packs.

The project will be launched in Colombo. These packs are available at the Bambalapitiya CFC stall and will be expanded to other parts of the country in the near future, Devananda added.
