Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Dr. Nalaka Godahewa held a discussion with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa on Monday (13), at the latter’s office.
Godahewa said he attended the discussion on an invitation extended by Premadasa.
“I was invited by the Opposition Leader today to listen to a presentation made by a group of reformists at his office. As promised, it was not a political discussion,” Godahewa tweeted.
Meanwhile, Premadasa said a majority of the proposals put forward by the people who want a system change match the proposals of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
“We have a responsibility to rebuild the country that was plundered by a single family. One family had plundered the whole country and because the country had been following Rajapaksaism for two years. The country should be built through compromise and there is no way to build the country other than that,” added Premadasa.
Premadasa said politics has contributed to the present economic downturn and that strong reforms are needed to rebuild the country.
