Lone Lankan takes ‘Aragalaya’ to Japanese Parliament


A Sri Lankan, Nishantha Jayathilaka protested in front of the Japanese Parliament in Tokyo, drawing attention of Japanese MPs to Sri Lanka’s many crises.

Nishantha has been working in Osaka, Japan for several years. During a recent visit to Sri Lanka he had a firsthand experience of Sri Lanka’s many problems. When he returned to Osaka, he travelled 600 km to Tokyo to stage this solo protest to raise awareness about Sri Lanka’s plight.
