Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) employees in many parts of the country have withdrawn from all services, including bus services.
President of the All Ceylon Transport Workers’ Union, Sepala Liyanage said that employees of 107 SLTB depots islandwide have taken this decision.
They have withdrawn from services due to the non-revision of their salaries since 2018.
However, after the Ministry assured a solution would be offered, several employees resumed work, while those from 18 depots are still engaged in trade union action.
