Grace period for tourism-related loans extended to 31 December


The grace period for those who received tourism-related loans will be extended to 31 December.

Co-Cabinet spokesman Manusha Nanayakkara said, Cabinet approved extending the grace period until 31 December.

He was speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing yesterday (7). The loan grace period for non-governmental organisations has been approved until 31 March, and the loan limit for other State-owned banks and financial institutions will expire in June.

As a result, both credit limits have been requested to be extended until 31 December, and their requests have been approved by Cabinet.
