Enjoining order on Aeroflot flight suspended

The Colombo Commercial High Court has suspended the enjoining order issued banning the Aeroflot aircraft flight SU-289 from leaving the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The order was issued by Commercial High Court judge Harsha Sethunga today (6).

The Attorney General had earlier requested the Court to revoke the said enjoining order issued on 2 June, considering the inconvenience caused to all passengers by the aircraft’s detention, its impact on Sri Lanka’s tourism industry and the foreign exchange crisis, and the problematic legal background of the issue.
