Repayment of Rs 91B T Bill maturities due on Friday


Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) will have to repay the third largest Treasury T-Bill maturities due to the market by the coming Friday (10 June), CBSL data showed.

The value of this sum repayable to the market by the coming Friday is Rs 91,093 million. The highest repayable  to the market thus far was Rs 97,320 million which was repaid to the market more than a month ago on 22 April and the second highest, Rs 97,000 million which was repaid on 21 January 2022.

Meanwhile, the splits for the coming Friday’s  repayments dues to the market  are  Rs 59,375 million 91 day maturities, Rs 31,661 million 182 day maturities and Rs 57 million 364-day maturities, respectively. T Bill maturities which will have to be repaid to the CBSL by GoSL by the coming Friday however are unknown as CBSL, the steward of GoSL debt, doesn’t make privy such details.
