Nine accused in the case filed over the abduction and disappearance of journalist Pradeep Ekneligoda have been remanded until 13 June.

In 2019, indictments were filed against nine Sri Lanka Army Intelligence Officers including the former Commanding Officer of the Giritale Army Camp Lieutenant Colonel Shammi Kumararatne for conspiring and executing the abduction of Ekneligoda.

The decision was reached after considering the discrepancies in the testimony of Thirukumar, a former LTTE intelligence operative who testified in court today.
