The Government has decided to provide accommodation for MPs at a new housing scheme at Viyathpura, Pannipitiya instead of the present housing scheme situated at Madiwela.
According to informed sources, 101 apartments from the B Tower of the Viyathpura housing complex will be allocated to MPs.
They stated that the proposed housing complex will have a total of 500 units.
The total estimate for the construction has been tabulated at Rs 1,795.34 million with 50 per cent to be given to contractors.
