All should work in unity to overcome crises – Gammanpila

Leader of Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) MP Udaya Gammanpila said, everyone should put ‘RanilGoHome’ and ‘GotaGoHome’ protests aside for a while and work together to solve the crises in Sri Lanka.

Addressing the media, he said, that he fully supports giving a Parliamentary Committee to oversee financial control of the country.

Commenting on the proposed Parliamentary Committee, Gammanpila added that they know that the powers are still with ‘Kaputas’.

“With the passage of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution, Parliament will be able to free the country from the clutches of ‘Kaputas’. Whoever is in power should put party politics aside and rally together to get out of this mess. After overcoming the crisis, we must hold a Parliamentary Election. Let the people decide who is right and who is wrong at an election,” he said.

He went on to say that by next month, people would be dying from a lack of medicines and food.
