LP Gas shipment to be unloaded today, LITRO to recommence distribution in June


A shipment carrying 3,500 metric tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum (LP) gas has arrived in the country, and will be unloaded today (30).

This was confirmed by the Chairman of LITRO Gas Lanka, Vijitha Herath, who added that a quality check of nearly 10 hours will also be conducted on the consignment soon after being unloaded.

Meanwhile, he added that the distribution of LP Gas is due to recommence on Wednesday (01 June).

A payment of USD 6.5 million was made last week (23), for two ships carrying a total of 7,500 metric tons of LP Gas.
