Grade 5 Scholarship Exam cut-off marks released

The cut-off marks of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2021 were released on 24 May.

Students can check the cut-off marks on the Ministry of Education website.

All appeals should be forwarded to the Ministry of Education through the online portal.

The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2021 was held on 22 January this year at 2,943 centres islandwide, with the participation of 340,508 candidates. The examination had to be postponed on multiple occasions owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Top five cut-off marks for boys’ schools (Sinhala medium)

Royal College in Colombo 7 – 179,

Dharmaraja College in Kandy – 178,

Ananda College in Colombo 10, Richmond College in Galle, and Maliyadeva College in Kurunegala – 176.

Top five cut-off marks for girls’ schools (Sinhala medium)

Visakha Vidyalaya in Colombo 5 – 182

Devi Balika Vidyalaya in Colombo 8 – 177

Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya in Kurunegala – 176

Mahamaya Girls’ College in Kandy, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya in Colombo 7, and Southlands College in Galle – 175.

Top five cut-off marks for boys’ schools (Tamil medium)

Royal College in Colombo 7 – 178

D.S. Senanayake College in Colombo 7 – 163

St. Michael’s College in Batticaloa, Jaffna Hindu College – 158

Isipathana College in Colombo 5 – 156

Top three cut-off marks of Tamil medium girls’ schools are, 163 for J/Vembadi Girls’ High School, 162 Bt/Vincent Girls’ High School, and 155 for Nu/St. Gabriel’s Girls’ College.
