WHO Permanent Rep calls on Opposition Leader


Alaka Singh, Permanent Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Sri Lanka called on Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa at the Opposition Leader’s Office, yesterday (23).

Premadasa urged stronger support of the WHO to uplift the health sector in Sri Lanka. The meeting focused on the shortage of medicinal drugs in the country and the need for immediate solutions to the crisis.

The Opposition Leader elaborated on the donation of equipment to over 50 hospitals through the ‘Vipakshayen Husmak’ Programme. The programme was commended by Singh.
