No LP Gas distribution today – Litro

There will be no distribution of cylinders of LP Gas today (24), and the public is requested not to wait in queues, Litro Gas Lanka announced yesterday (23).

Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath said the decision was taken owing to the lack of stocks of LP Gas, adding that only those used for industrial purposes are presently available.

He urged the public to refrain from queuing for cylinders of LP Gas tomorrow, adding that distribution is expected to begin again on Thursday (26).

A payment of US$ 6.5 million was made yesterday (23), for two ships carrying a total of 7,500 metric tons of LP Gas.

The first ship carrying 3,500 metric tons is expected to arrive in Colombo on Thursday (26).
