Bhanuka ton guides BRC to win against Panadura


Bhanuka Rajapaksha, skipper and left-hand middle order batter, scored a valuable century (100 in 56 deliveries with 4 boundaries and 9 sixes) against Panadura SC in their first-round fixture of the Major Club T20 Cricket Tournament, conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday.

BRC beat Panadura SC by 41 runs, Nugegoda S & WC beat NCC by 6 runs and Tamil Union beat Sebastianites by 7 wickets. Both matches in Army ground Dombagoda were abandoned without a ball being bowled – Ragama CC Vs Chilaw Marians and Negombo CC Vs Kandy Custom CC. Match was ended with no result at Surrey grounds Maggona between The Colts Vs Police SC match ended in no result.
